    Can this software be used with a Mac and can you use it for 2013 1099s? Thank you.

      The 1099-MISC Electronic Filing Kit cannot be used with Macs, it is Windows based software. The current year for 1099s is 2012 (for returns filed 15 April 2013), this software is for the 1099s still currently in use.

    There is no Copy A included with this kit. Does this print automatically with the software or do I need to buy Copy A forms as well?

      This kit is for the electronic filing of your 1099-MISC forms, you don't need a copy A to send to the IRS. There also is no FORM 1096, not needed since you are transmitting all the 1099s electronically.
