Initially, I was concerned about the right product to use. In asking questions of 2-3 store personnel, everyone at the store was helpful in ensuring that I was first of all directed to the right store location to view the available forms. Once selected, the cashier reviewed the package, asked several questions and actually had me change my original selection so that I purchased the right product for tax distribution to 1099 contractors that I use throughout the year for business purposes. The product was appropriate, easy to use and effective in fulfilling the 2012 IRS tax requirements. No one wants to get any more additional attention from the IRS than is actually required.

I had a hard time importing imformation from last years version. I also had a hard time getting the print to properly line up on the tax forms. It was easy to load and set up other than the two things that I mentioned. I also think it would be more acomadating if it came in a smaller pack, I only had five 1099s to send out this year the rest are a waste. I have been purchasing this package for about ten years from Staples and it usually works great, this is the first year that I had any trouble importing information from previous years versions.It took me a lot longer this year to do them than ever before because I had to look for and enter stuff I should be able to import.

I use these forms every year & never really had difficulites aligning the forms to print correctly within the spaces provided.
This year, I dont know why it was difficult in aligning the information to their proper spaces. I literally had to make copies and do more than a just a few adjustments.
So I dont know if the software has changed or my printer (HP)that made this year's tax forms more than just a headache.
all in all, it's a really good software for those who would use it yearly because it has the option to import from prior yr & backing them up.

      How do you use these forms with a standard laser or ink jet printer? I tried printing the 1099-misc forms provided by the IRS in our laser printer and it does not line up with their boxes. Did you have any problems printing these forms from Staples?
