Comments about Staples 14" x 14" x 3/16" Tempered Glass Panels:

I used this to make a surround around my outdoor gas firepit. I was a little hesitant since someone had asked if this was true tempered glass, and the reply was it was not meant for fireplaces. It seems to be tempered, I have used the fireplace several times and have had not issues with glass. Most fireplace glass is tempered glass, withstands high temperature without shattering. It was far cheaper to go this route then to buy individual custom made tempered glass panels.
