        I bought this for our basement light fixtures. I am considering buying something to replace them. They aren't as bright as the other ones we have of similar wattage and they don't really dim at all.

            Yes, this works with a regular switch, but will only dim using a dimmable switch. It is a 65-watt equivalent bulb.

            The color temp of this floodlight is 2700K which is considered "warm white" and will be more on the yellow end of the spectrum rather than the blue of a "daylight" bulb.
