The binder is very sturdy and I really like the One Touch open D rings. They make it nice and easy to open for we older folks who may have lost some strength in our hands. I use sheet protectors to hold my genealogy information which indludes pictures, forms, etc. so it can get very filled and heavy. I really like the plastic view area on the outside spine area of the binder. The family names goes there so that I can see what book it is when I go to take it off the bookshelf.

Since Avery is the only Heavy Duty Binder that Staples carries, I do not have much of a choice in the binder I buy. I use the 2" binders to organize information and notes that I use in teaching. Since the binders are rather expensive, a friend of mine will give me a binder from her work every now and then. The binders that she gives me are better quality than the Avery- they last longer and the metal clasps are not as weak. I must replace the Avery every couple of years. The only reason I use the Avery is that they are best constructed binders that Staples offers.
