The small 1 inch binder would be perfect for my students. I believe the students would love to personalize the binding and the front and back with their own personal touch.

Not happy with the quality

I've purchased these binders before in varying sizes. This particular binder, however, is the first one I've encountered from Staples with rings that do not align properly. When I turn pages in the binder they get caught in the ring. Not happy! But I've been too busy to return it to the store, and it's probably too late now.

I reorganized my entire sewing library, including scanning all my patterns, and I love the way these binders have a slot in the spine in order to place a custom label, as well as see-through pockets inside and out on both sides.

My sons other binder couldn't hold up to all the paerwork that he was bringing home. This one seems to hold a ton of papers, and still has room... He really likes the rubber on the edges it makes it much easier to carry in the halls.

This folder is great and can take a lot of abuse such as daily carrying back and forth to school, opening and closing the rings several times a day, and being packed to capacity. The folder's front pouch and inner flap, however, can come loose with too much abuse. Those can come loose and then be useless. My sixth grader went through two of these folders in one year while a girl in his grade was able to reuse hers from last year. It also depends on the user and how hard somebody is on their things. Generally, a sturdy and high quality item.

I have bought less expensive binders but for the kids and for me (I used them for job quotes, supplier info, etc.) these are the best. I am in and out of these binders all day long and there is no splitting, ripping, falling apart like with the cheaper binders. The presentation front makes it easy for me to identify the binder I need as does the color variety. Its worth the extra $$$ for these. For the kids school...this is the first year that I didn't have to purchase them new binders since these lasted.
