I bought an Acer Aspire One ($299.98) with a 2-year support plan ([$]). The computer turned out to have a hybernation problem which I have now found documented in thousands of websites. In other words, Staples is selling a computer with a KNOWN problem. I wasn't worried; I had the warranty...But when I brought it to the tech support department, I was told that if they were to swap the computer for a new one, THE WARRANTY WOULD BE COMPLETELY VOID. The warranty documentation does indeed specify a one-time replacement, but IT DOES NOT SAY that if you avail yourself of that feature of the plan, you are no longer eligible for any repairs or support at all. Apparently, however, this is the policy they enforce. So, the remaining year and nine months I paid for would be down the drain because they sold me a computer that doesn't work properly. THIS IS BOTH A MISREPRESENTATION AND A BLATANT RIP OFF. I'm a big fan and long-time customer of Staples, and I'm very disappointed on this.

Not worth the money. The computer had a flicker screen issue, which is documented in numerous web sites. I brought computer back to store and was told to call Acer. Personnel not interested in the issue. Warranty not worth the paper it is written on. Last time I buy from Staples and last time I extend any money for a warranty. [...]
