the pictured planner is not the one most carry in stock. the ones that are being shipped are black and white so far but the associate at the store assured me that in late may/early june a new shipment with a wider variety of patterns will be available. since the planner doesn't begin until july 1 it's worth it to wait for the full assortment unless you favor the black and white with no internal design.

My planner also came with a black and white lattice themed cover, gray tabbed dividers, and a totally plain black/white interior. Store staff says they come in "assorted prints," but the web posting doesn't tell you that or that yours will be chosen at random. Funny too how the other reviewers seem to be describing the same "print" I got. Staples should at least warn customers they may not get the print shown. Annoying to waste time ordering online and going to the store to pick it up only to have to return it for a refund.

THE ONE POSITIVE- I love this general model and am currently using the 2012-13 version with a cartoonish owl print. The large notes section and the movable divider tabs are great. I can move tabs as needed to mark the current week page and divide the notes section in two for my To Do list and additional notes. I love the freedom of personalization this model offers and was thrilled to see it available for next academic year. I only wish there was a way to order the "print" you want. If I must, I'll go back in July and buy the boring black one in-store and glue my old cover on it. Then I'll just have to deal with the Excel-like blandness of the interior- no pretty borders or backgrounds like the pictured one. :(

I had this exact planner for this year....Absolutely adored it, the color and design on the pages...It was beautiful and so easy to work with. I order two, one for my sister and one for me. I went to four staples, who were listed as having the item. NONE had it. I ordered it online, it came in with a different design, a black lattice cover and no design on the inside pages...UGLY!! I AM SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

I ordered this planner not only for the great price and over all design, but also I loved the pretty blue color it came in. The planner that was shipped to me is black and white and I would not have ordered it if I knew that I wasn't going to get the blue one. I am going to try to exchange it at the local store.
I would have given this product 5 stars if the item pictured had showed up. I don't see anywhere on the details that an assorted color will be randomly sent to you.
