I have used several other daily reminders in the past, but this one excells them all, even if the price is much higher. The quality overides the cost factor.

The name pretty much says it all: "At-A-Glance FINE DIARY® - Bonded Leather Cover."

Measuring 3" x 5" x 3/8th inches, this classy calendar is perfectly pocket-sized and virtually unnoticeable when carried. It is beautifully bound with buttery black leather, features gold leaf lettering, and has subtle but very useful brass corner protectors on the front cover.

The interior features high-quality paper and a long black, silk-like ribbon as a placeholder. The week opens across facing pages, with equal space for each day as well as small representations of the current and following month.

There are at least a dozen pages in the back with useful information including important dates and a host of toll-free numbers for hotels, airlines, travel services, et cetera.

Of course this is old school -- and I love it for that. It's right in line with the fact that I write with a Waterman fountain pen and use Crane's engraved stationery for personal letters and notes. I have nothing against technology, but I still prefer to pull this from my pocket than an electronic device. And -- bonus -- this never makes a sound during a meeting or in church.

I have purchased one of these model 70-1111-05 diaries annually for over 20 years, and have them stored in an easy-to-reach drawer. No back-ups necessary.

Finally, I noticed that this item is NOT carried on the At-A-Glance website in this configuration. It does appear to be available on Amazon, but I prefer to patronize Staples.

So, do I recommend this daytimer? You bet!
