They last very well. My grandmother has kept this brand since the 1940s and they've withstood the test of time. What fun to go back in history. Hope my grandchildren enjoy doing the same.

I've been using this journal for 20 years--first in business (to keep track of restaurant needs and goings-on from year-to-year in a compact form), then in personal life, and for much the same reasons. It helps to keep track of jury duty, medical records, weather, family events (births, deaths, marriage, who's not speaking to whom, vacations, etc.),New Years Resolutions, and a myriad of other trivia. I have a page dedicated to ideas for "perfect" gifts that I used to just forget over time, another page for purchased gifts and where I've stored them for safekeeping. No more gifts that need to be bought again because I can't find the ones I'm sure I bought! The saved journals are also a good resource for family history buffs, scrapbookers, geneologists, and occasionally settling an argument. It's also a handy yardstick for measuring how far you have come, and where you need to go next.

It would be nice if the dated journal came in one or two more colors though. Right now my bookshelf is beginning to look like a set of encyclopedias.

My husband has kept a journal since the late 1980's.
He is a retired tractor trailer owner and highway superintendent. He has used this journal daily to track mileage, fuel useage and employee assignments when he was working and now that we are retired and traveling in our motorhome, he records our mileage, location, weather and interesting personal notes. His children and grandchildren,along with me, love to read his entries and humorous comments of the days events.

To expensive for what it is. It is a mass produced blank diary. Why is it almost twice as expensive as a good novel
