Good news and bad news

I am a doctoral student and have used these binders for compilation of class materials, assignments, notes, research materials,and presentations. The three-inch binders are especially useful for large quantities of research materials. I've liked them so much that I've begun to use the narrower binders for financial and miscellaneous personal recordkeeping. I LOVE the open-ended covers that facilitate insertion of customized identification sheets. I have only had two problems: The rings can be difficult to open and close, and they are routinely uneven, which results in pages caught in the rings, pages that fall from the binder, and pages that are torn. It really pays to examine the binders prior to purchase. On balance, however, this is a good product.
