The Manager at the store apparently did not know how this product worked. It wasn't until I called customer service that I found out that no one comes to your home to try to repair the product. They just send you a Staples cash card for the purchased amount. She also did not know that once you apply for the cash card, the warranty you purchased expires regardless if you have 1 month to go or 3 years.

I bought this policy with an office chair and never bothered to register. Now that I actually need it, I went to register it online but found that the website has either not been paid and was repurchased by some ad company or that it has been highjacked. Let's hope this plan is not that messed up, too.
