Each have their own strengths - power efficient, bright display and rich colors in bright rooms, poor contrast - best contrast, high image quality, small footprint, higher lumens needed in bright rooms Resolution is increasingly important to keep pace with high definition displays, televisions and multimedia. WXGA or higher is the most common display resolution today SVGA (800 x 600) - basic entry level solution for small classrooms, analog TV and DVD playback XGA (1024 x 768) - more suitable for professional presentation, graphics work and movie playback WXGA (1280 x 800) - excellent for widescreen multimedia playback and matches display resolution of most travel laptops UXGA (1600 x 1200) or higher - provides crisp, detailed images of the highest quality with more room to display onscreen content. Necessary for playback of true HD content Brightness levels are measured in terms of lumens. A higher lumen projector provides additional light output to ensure your content is highly visible in bright or lighted rooms. 1000 lumens or less - low cost budget projectors, generally to be used in dark or dimly lit rooms 1000 - 2000 lumens - suitable for most small meeting rooms and living rooms 2000 - 3000 lumens - suitable for large conference rooms and most classrooms 3000 lumens or more - suitable for larger board rooms, auditoriums, churches, concert halls and night clubs
