Q:
I want to use this filter as a glare reducer, since I have a window behind me at my desk, and the glare is a problem. Is this the right product for that? My computer is a Dell Inspiron laptop with a 15.5" screen. If there's something more suitable (and perhaps not quite so expensive) please let me know. Thank you.

  I don't know about a cheaper alternative, but this product does claim to offer "Filter is reversible. Choose matte side for anti-glare or glossy side for increased clarity" So the matte side may serve to effectively reduce glare!

My MacBook screen measures horizontal not quite 13" and diagonally 14 1/2" so should I purchase the 15"? How much will it hang over? I have a cover for my MacBook should I measure horizontally from the outer edges of the cover?

  It sounds like your laptop screen may have a 14.1" viewing area. In this case, if it is widescreen, item 643530 would be more suitable for you. If it is not widescreen, item 440615 should work.
