    This screen protector should be bought with the kindle...or asap after receiving the kindle as a gift. If a screen protector is not applied right away, then the screen of the kkndle can be scratched, scuffed, or damaged - for which there is no repair or undoing once done.

    The smallest piece of dirt stuck to the screen in the oils from your hands can make a number of scratches depending on how long the dirt and grime are left on the screen and the attempted method of removing the dirt and grime from the unprotected screen. Worst cases...the dirt isn't remove and scrapes deeper, or a circular pattern of trying to wipe the dirt away spreads the range of the scratches. Save yourself the frustration, and protect your kindle right away with this screen protector.
