Shelf was not even boxed and all four corners were badly damaged when I went to pick it up at the store. I rejected it. What a waste!

Shelf was shipped separately but arrived at same time as other merchandise. Staples associate did not know it was in store. Took 3 days for me to find it (I started with a tracking number in an email - that part was good). Local said they didn't have it...UPS and warehouse said local did have it. Finally tracked shelf down and I picked it up about 1 week later. After getting shelf out of the box, one corner was a bit ragged, but at that point, I was tired from the whole ordeal of just finding the shelf, so I put that corner to the back. FUNNY PART - when I went to the store the second time after they tracked it down, the original associate came to ask if I needed help while someone was getting the shelf from the back of the store. She didn't remember me, but I remembered her. I told her the entire story and she said it was terrible, then she looked mortified as she realized that she was the one who should have read the packing statement more closely to avoid the entire problem (I should have also, but hey, I was just trusting the associate.) Anyway, I did purchase the shelf using my Staples Rewards, so it was a good deal...almost free! I do like staples online ordering and pick up at the local store customer service counter. Saves money and time!
