You didn't answer the question that was asked on 1/19/2011. The questions was- Does the tab stand out beyond other protectors set up in a book style? What they meant is do the tabs stick out from the edge of other sheep protectors so that the tab can be seen when the three ring binder is closed?

  No the tabs on the sheet protectors do not stand out beyond other tab dividers. These tabs would be like a regular divider, but enhanced for you to put paper inside the sheet protector. Compared to a regular divider where it is just a plain sheet of paper hole punched with a dividing tab. On this Avery 5-Tab Set Avery Protect 'n Tab Sheet Protector, item # 411660, the tabs stick out from the side/edge of the actual sheet protector. The tab should be still consoled with in the binder when the three ring binders are closed. These protectors protect 8-1/2" x 11" pages. Acid free and archival safe, won't lift print from your pages.

  Yes, because the tab is attached to the protector it does extend beyond the sheet protectors. I will be ordering another set today. If still in doubt, they also sell self sticking tabs that you can apply yourself to your sheet protectors and in the areas you want. Probably cheaper too. Hope this helps. I was looking for the same solution to the sheet protectors that would hide my old divider tabs until I found these and the self stick tabs.
