      I've purchased two of these bulbs now. They work well. Definitely produce less heat. They take a minute or two to reach full luminosity, but it's hardly an issue.

        Awesome bulbs for our outdoor lights. We have four light fixtures that each take two bulbs. I was sick of replacing the standard candelabra bulbs that seem to burn out very quickly. I also started using 25w bulbs just to save on electricity. these bulbs solved both problems. They are brighter (40w equivalent) and use only 9w each. I am very happy with these!
