So far, I love this surge protector because of the timer feature. I have it at my bedroom nightstand. I've got my alarm clock plugged into the on-all-the-time outlet & then my lamp and other electronics on a timer. The timer with lamp acts as a second alarm clock because the light turns on, blinds me, & forces me to wake up. I also just went on vacation for a couple days and I like the peace of mind & potential burglar-deterrent that a timed light provides me when no one is home.

I bought several of these from Staples and am pleased that I am now able to have all of my energy sucking gadgets turn off automatically at night while not in use. It's a very good feeling watching everything go dark at a set time instead of having to run around the house unplugging things. You can set up to six different programs to turn five of the six outlets on or off at certain times and days of the week. The outlets do NOT program individually. The APC warranty covers everything for at least four years (LCD warranty 4 years, all other components lifetime according to the box). The joule rating isn't the best but should be sufficient for most protection cases.
