Poor power strip plugs, OK otherwise

Works as designed, which is to provide power strip protection and battery backup to allow time to shut down computers. One very bad thing is that the AC Plugs on it are poorly designed, causing unreliable connection to AC equipment, including computers. Twice, my computer has experienced sudden power loss due to unreliable plug-in, exactly the thing the UPS is supposed to prevent! Please fix this! The previous model had no problems in this regard. -User Dennis

I had a cheaper UPS, but the back-up time was around....zero. I'm on a limited budget, so I got this one because it promised to keep my Big screen (which I use as my computer monitor), my computer, and my cable box up for at least long enough for me to save anything I needed to and shut the systems down. Well, the power went out and it held for at least 4 minutes while I did just that. When the power came back up, I could just turn everything back on and I was back in business.

I got the first (cheap) UPS to protect against power fluctuations that burned out my T.V., computer and cable box within 3 weeks of moving to this apartment. This one keeps the power supply steady, doesn't give off a piercing shriek whenever the AC wobbles, and does what it said it would do.

This is probably the 3rd one I have owned! Its a computer saver! Recently there was a power outage in my town and the power went on off for several hours. I was at staples spending [$] to buy a new one of these, and everyone else from my town was spending $100 or more to get their computers fixed. This is well worth the money! It is heavy, but after you set it up, you are done moving it!
