I have this battery backup connected to a Windows 7 pc (intel I7 2600 , 8 gb ram, 1 gig Nvidia graphics card 750 watt powersupply, dual monitor)
i set this up with the CPU in the "master" batter back up slot, and plugged in one monitor to a Battery "slave" and the second monitor in the "surge only slave" outlets, My priinter is in a none power saver outlet, because it is wirelessly networed. when the computer is shutdown the monitors are automaically powered off for me (its great) you can also use this for other devices (and you can set a power off delay time on those outlets)
I downloaded the powerchute personal software from their website, and its great, it can show you how much power you use, how much it costs you , history of outages and lowpower and other power issues. The LCD on the fron is great as well, shows the incoming power and the load currently on the ups.
