    If there is 24 minutes run-time, can I use 8 minutes and reserve the remaining 16?

      A:

      This product has a maximum run time of 24 minutes with a half-load. If you experience a power outage, you will have 24 minutes to safely shut down all devices connected to this UPS. Once your power has been restored, the battery will re-charge and you will have another 24 minutes should you experience another outage.       The APC Smart-UPS comes with a manufacturer-supplied limited warranty of 36 months on parts and 36 months on labor.
