This is a great product for a home office set up. The cost is affordable and the number of options available on this phone are helpful. Programming phone numbers is extremely easy, especially when you can use the call menu to save phone numbers that have called you. The only small downside is that the digit buttons are a little hard to press when the phone is new, so that takes a little getting used to, especially if you are used to using a mobile or an older phone. Other than that I would highly recommend it for someone with a home office set up or event to use as a personal phone.

Purchased as a replacement for an AT&T 993. I was hoping this would be a bit of an upgrade, but alas, no. Most anoying is that it does not notify of missed calls consistently. Several test calls yielded '00 new calls' after each call, however once or twice I did see an actual number of calls. While there are 'in use' lights for each line, they are only active when the line is in use, compared to the 993 which used them to also denote missed calls or waiting voicemail messages. Also, no option for a backup battery. In short, an acceptable basic phone, and I'll probably keep it for a backup, but I don't expect this to be a long-term solution for me.

    Comments about AT&T ML17928 2 Line Speakerphone:

This is a great product. The ascetics, ruggedness, reliability and multi functionality are reminiscent of the old AT&T reliability standards. The investment value of this product will be recouped almost immediately. The human factor ergonomics are absolutely phenomenal. Once one reads and follows the very well-written and simple to follow set up instructions one can use the product almost immediately. In my environment even though I use a multi carrier environment for reliability, this AT&T product product functions flawlessly.

      Comments about AT&T ML17928 2 Line Speakerphone:

this was a replacemenr for an AT&T speaker phone that had failed after several years of service. i was not able to find thar moxel or an equivalent anywhere i looked in local shops or on line. what I needed was a speaker phone with a data port so that I would be able to connect the phone to my computer. Apparently the dominate telephone style theses days is the cordless telephone without any dataports. I was delighted to discover that Staples came through with a prduct in stock that has improved featurea. I was in a real jam due ro upcoming business conference call!

      Comments about AT&T ML17928 2 Line Speakerphone:

When I receive a call the other party sounds too hollow and when I turn down the volume it doesn't improve. The buttons are too big and when I press them it doesn't feel soft and smooth like the first ones I purchased. Setting up the directory is very confusing to me. When I set up speed dial that also is very confusing to me. I expected better quality from at&t equipment.I do like the caller I.D. and once I was able to put my special friends on speed dial I was more contented. I haven't tried conference calls so I don't know how that would work.
