    does this phone come with the compatible and required base? It says in the specs that the base is needed, but doesn't say whether or not it comes with it and I can't find the base sold seperately for the phone.

    Previously we've had issues with not being able to use the base and a cordless at the same time...is that an issue with this system ?
    Can one person talk on the base and another person use the cordless simultaneously ?

      The AT&T SB67148 phone system will work on multiple lines (1 to 4 lines). If you have more than one line then you will be able to use more than one at a time.
