We bought 2! We weren't sure about Google Chrome OS, but this little machine does everything the other OS does - and FASTER! We've only hit one little snag and that is a JAVA update needed to view one of the websites we visit quite frequently. Both of us especially like the word document program. We can send our "letter" via email right after we are through without the need to go to email, compose and then attach the letter. Quickie notes do the same thing. Since our work is research we send multiple emails back and forth everyday with multiple attachments and now all we have to do is hit "send" and chose who we want the document to go to! MARVELOUS! Saves us time. And since we are on the go all of the time - the size of this Chromebook fits perfectly in the saddlebags. Other reviews have complained about the size of the screen fonts - but all you have to do is go into settings and set the screen size to 115% and the font to large. Everything at these 2 settings allows everything on the screen to be seen easily. WE LOVE IT so far!

I love it. I like the cloud and i think it's neat that i can basically do everything there. However sometimes the chrome book seems a little wonky. For example my google cloud print stop working for a few weeks. My time is wrong! It has been a few weeks now, hoping that resolves itself. Sending help reports but google don't respond. Basically i have a tolerance for low end electronics and the chromebook is just awesome in every manner except where it's not. If it broke I would buy another one right away, but yet I wouldn't reccomend it to a friend. I would warn them that though I love it, they might not.

Quick setup, easy to use. My 72 year old mother-in-law uses it everyday and loves it.

It took me a bit to gt used to the operating system but otherwise it works great.

Wish it had bluetooth...

The chromebook came with me on a recent trip to NYC. It was all that I needed for my trip. I love the chrome OS and the fact that I do not have to buy MS office as i would with windows. I love that it synced with my wireless desktop, which uses the chrome browser, when I first set the chromebook up. Go Google!

Will be a gift for an elderly woman with disabilities. Her right hand has been injured so cannot use a mouse. She needs symlicity and ease of use---will have to hunt and peck to type mostly e-mails. Nothing complicated---maybe genealogy program.

I could not distinguish what would be right and left clickers: My laptop has 2 buttons below the area that allows you to control the pointer by moving a finger over it.

  The Acer C710 Chromebook uses Android 4.1 so it's not Flash compatible via auto download. However you can manually install Flash if you desire. Personally unless you're a techie I would opt for a Windows laptop.
