I went to [...] and played around with their display model, and I must admit that I was quite impressed. I do love Apple's products and I do own the newest Ipod Touch, but I wanted a tablet that runs on Android 3.0. I bought the Acer Iconia A500 and I have not been disappointed. It is smooth, and fast operationwise, and it looks great with its aluminum clad back, and large bright display. The only disappointment I have thus far is the lack of accessories to compliment it. This is a great deal in comparison the Asus Transformer since the Acer has the USB port that you can add a flash drive or other USB powered device to. It has a very solid feel, and the extra weight is not noticable at all. It supports flash, which is something that Apple OS does not. A must have for all of you tech geeks. I highly recommend it.

A500 is an expensive DS

We're currently trying out tablets at my place of business. This tablet won't inherently connect to an enterprise network using the PEAP protocol. This quickly turned the A500 into a home-use tablet. On the home-use side, it has some neat games and I like browsing the web on it's nice, clear screen. The short-comings of Android show through in that you can't run Netflix (but by golly you can manage your instant queue). It also reboots whenever I attempt to start a video call. Supposedly Skype works with Android Froyo, but it sure doesn't work with Honeycomb.Unfortunately, I should have done a little more homework as my main purpose for getting a tablet in the first place (beside web browsing, which alone can be done a lot more cheaply on other devices) was to run Netflix and Skype.If this functionality doesn't come available through OS updates by November, you can look for my [...] auction as I will be ditching this thing. Seems like the iPad is the only device that can get on a corporate network as well as run Skype and Netflix.I hate Apple, though I almost wish I spent the extra $50 on a more mature product.

This is a good one . we use it to look up parts and to check inventory and to check our suppliers for avablity of items we need to run our bussiness. it is like having a extra person.

Bought this as a gift for my mother. Wasn't sure if she'd like it given that she's been using my father's Ipad. Turns out she loves it. She enjoys the fact that she can hold it in one hand for long periods of time, especially when resting in bed. She could not and did not do that with the Ipad.

She uses it for web surfing and gaming. I installed Flash along with Firefox & Dolphin HD browsers so that she can steam live videos from msnbcTV etc.

Bought her a bluetooth keyboard/carrying case by Sharkk. It's pretty amazing as the bottom matches the back side of the Nexus 7. When snapped together as a carrying case, it looks perfect and is the perfect combination of case & tablet.

I didn't get the extended warranty so I'm a bit concerned about Staples' or Google's support once the 14-day warranty period passes. I'll update 6 months from now.

The Nexus 7 tablet is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something similar to my kindle, but really wanted something that would be as compatible with Android as possible. So, I went directly with Google. It works great. I had an older Android tablet, that is on it's last leg. This is light, smooth, and even battery life is really good. You almost have to use it constantly to drain the battery in a day. I let it sit off charge (but on) for a day, and it didn't even drop 1%. If you want a good solid, Android mini-tablet. You can't beat this one. And did I mention the price is great!
