Surprisingly light and cool operating compared to my older LCD. LED LCDs are the way to go now.
The base spins and pivots, but has no height adjustment. So you would want to buy a VESA 100 stand if you need it.
The colors are great and the text sharp. HDTV is outstanding using a PC TV tuner card. I'm not a gamer, so I can't comment on gaming performance.
Even though only a VGA cable was listed as an accessory, my monitor came with both DVI and VGA cables. I used the DVI for the better performance potential.
There is no separate power brick like some monitors.
As is typical with LCDs, the brightness needed to be reduced.

Big monitor, Poor graphics quality

I'm a professional software developer and I do user interface design. I'm not a graphic designer but I do appreciate a good monitor.I bought this monitor becase (a) it was on sale for [$] (b) my old 19" 4X3 aspect ratio monitor is too restrictive when working in Visual Studio 2010.This was the best monitor Staples had in the store, but the instant I hooked it up (replacing my 7 year old KOGI monitor, I was sorry. Very bright screen (too bright... dropped it to 60%), but poor color saturation and the image is slightly fuzzy.I have two 24" Dells at work, a two-year-old HP laptop, a 15.6" MSI A6200 laptop and my old KOGI monitor. All have significantly better picture than this monitor.I said this monitor would be good for movies, because it does appear to have reasonably fast response time and, counter-intiutively, a moving image doesn't have to be sharp. A static image will show the flaws in a weak monitor very quickly.

Was a great deal on sale. Clear and bright. A bit top heavy (shakes a little with the slightest vibration) and is a little stiff and limited when adjusting the angle of the screen.

  SCREEN POSITION ADJUSTMENT In order to optimize the best viewing position, you can adjust the tilt of the monitor by using both of your hands to hold the edges of the monitor. The monitor can be adjusted to 15 degrees up or 5 degrees down.

I am using this monitor with a SPARKLE SF8834DT256MB GeForce FX 5200 256M AGP DVI Graphics Card. When i use higher screen resolutions, such as 1920×1080 which the monitor says it supports, the image is wider than the monitor (i know this sounds weird, but you have to actually scroll left-right or up-down to see the whole screen). If you use the more common resolutions such as 1024x768, the image is stretched wide since it's a wide monitor. How do I adjust the image so that it's displayed correctly?
