This is the brightest LCD monitor I have ever used. Text is sharp and colors are accurate. Both DVI-D and VGA inputs are available-good because many computers have only the older VGA output. The base is solid metal, which is a welcome change from the older Acer design. Software is included that both calibrates the monitor and saves a number of different settings for various users and ambient
light conditions. The included calibration software works with Windows 7. Height adjustability however is nonexistent, so if you have neck problems you may want to buy another brand monitor.

        Love the monitor and it's a great value for the price. Color and picture clarity is really good. Unbelievably thin and light. Only thing I miss in all these new wider screen flat panel monitors is the height I used to have with my 17" version causing less viewing real estate on inital screen load than I used to have. Other than that, no complaints.

              No; as far as I can find out, this monitor was intended specifically to sit on a flat surface rather than be mounted--which is why the base/stand is made of metal and not plastic.

              This monitor is a LED-backlit LCD flat panel display. This mean that it use LED backlighting instead of the CCFL backlighting used in LCD monitors. It is not a ture LED display, but then neither are most LED tv displays. They use TFT LCD technology independent of backlight type. So this monitor has the same display quality as the majority of LED tvs.

              On PCs, right click on the desktop, then choose screen resolution from the list that pops up. 800 x 640 is the largest resolution, it makes everything very big. 1280 x720 is the smallest resolution it makes everything small. There are settings in between these two very big and very small settings. If you can't find this open the control panel and click on display settings, follow the same steps.
