Ok, based on misleading picture and terrible description, I wasn't sure what I was actually buying but decided to take a gamble since my son and everyone he knows is all of a sudden really into Skylanders.

I ordered these figuring worse case scenario was i could always return them, and best case would be a major score. What I ended up with was somewhere in between, and could be a bust for some.

The good news is these were all Series 2 Skylander Giants figures, individually retail packaged. they are the Light Core ones. Light core channel light from the portal through the figure itself, that normally sell for a couple bucks more than the standard figures. I'm not sure if they are worth the extra money, because it seems to me all they are is slightly cooler on the portal, but to 7 & 8 year olds it's a big difference.

The bad news is you get a dozen total pieces, which isn't horrible since it's slightly less than buying 12 of them retail, but the problem is that the dozen total pieces is made up of four total characters. Not sure if everyone's assortment will be same as mine, but what i got was 4 Jet Vacs, 3 Prizm Breaks, 3 Eruptors, and 2 Drobots. This is really something that a store would buy to resell individually, but Staples is selling it at almost retail price.
I was going to return but my son actually didn't have any of the 4 characters, so he ended up keeping four and trading the other 8 with his friends, so it worked out for us in the long run, but may end up to be a bust for others, so I thought I'd try to help out with this review so if you are thinging about ordering you'll actually have some idea of what you will be getting.
