Easy to assemble. Works fine on low nap carpet. The color is more of a gun metal grey. It is not chrome shiny or neutral grey. So if you have to have something that will match your Mac Pro work horse, this is not for you. If you want something that works well - this works great.

Piece of Junk!

Every time I attempt to move computer unit, it slides within case. Tried adding couple pieces of masking tape, but didn't help much. As soon as unit shifts within case, it tips easily...Read complete review

Every time I attempt to move computer unit, it slides within case. Tried adding couple pieces of masking tape, but didn't help much. As soon as unit shifts within case, it tips easily. The only thing I can say good about it is that it elevates the computer unit off the floor a couple inches.

This was very easy to assemble (4 wing nuts). I adjusted it by putting it on the top of my computer and it was easy to do. I tend to prefer metal over plastic because it's more durable. But because it's metal and my computer is metal, the computer was sliding in the stand when I pushed on the computer to move it, or when I inserted a memory stick. I solved this by putting a thin piece of rubber on the stand. It was that rubber that you put in drawers or on shelves to keep things in their place. Worked like a charm!

I wish it came in black because most computers are black now. I plan on getting spray paint and painting it black.
