Our sound system went out in our gym and I needed something to play my iPod music for our dance unit. This system was great. The sound carried throughout the gym and was clear. It really saved my dance unit!!!

This was the top end computer speakers at my local Staples store. It sounded better than all other models. Though not on par with sound from a very good stereo system, they are excellent for computer speakers.

  The satalite speakers are hardwired and the sub woofer has a plug in. This can all be seen at "http://www.alteclansing.com/content/ebiz/alteclansing/resources/images/quickconnectcard/VS2621-QCC.pdf".
  Satalite Speakers are 7.5 Watts per Channel and the Sub Woofer is 13 Watts. For the cable length you will have to contact Altec at (800) 258-3288.
