Overall this is very good. It's a step up from the cheap units. The side walls are one long continuous piece. The particle board material is halfway between the cheap stuff and the ultra dense stuff. Be careful when putting the screws in that cam with the cam locks. They can fall over while you are driving them in which tears up the finish. The back board is a three sections held together with a heavy duty tape. Getting this in the slot at the top and then lining it up along both sides is not easy. You need two people to do it right. I ended up with a gap between two of the sections but that is why the tape is brown, roughly the color of the surrounding wood. Overall I like it. Have some help handy and CAREFULLY think about the instructions. They are wrong. They show finished edges facing one way when in fact they should be facing the other etc.

I needed a bookcase immediately and this was available. It was what I expected, pressboard construction with a laminate finish - I know it will not hold up to to long term use - but for now, it will do. Overpriced for the quality. The pressboard is not high density, the backing very flimsy and poorly attached, and another shelf is needed. But, it's just a home office, storage bookcase, it will do.
