I wanted a desk that would fit my 10 x 12 room that I planned to use a office / spare bedroom. Looking to add a futon and some other items so did not want desk to each up entire room. Saw this desk online and thought man this would be so perfect, it sure was! Aside from a pain to assemble once put together this desk sits very nice and now plan to accommodate it with added shelves and cabinet. For the price also, bang for the buck.

Like you, I read the reviews on this desk and decided it was worth a try given the great sale price. Overall I am happy with the purchase. As others have said, for furniture in a box it seems to be of higher quality than other brands I have purchased in the past. That said, it is still partical board and pressed wood furniture. If you want something really heavy duty stay away.
I needed a new desk for my home office as the old desk I had was a very nice piece of furniture but there was no way to move it upstairs when we moved the office. Was able to buy this desk, and hutch, for less than half what we sold the old desk for so it was very affordable.
It does take a long, long time to assemble. I am a skilled do-it-yourself person. The bottom line is follow the instructions and you will be fine. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is pre-assembled with this furniture. Be patient, put on some good tunes, and expect the process to take a few hours and you will be fine.
The fit and finish are better than expected and we are pleased with our purchase.

Construction is better than most, it is easy to assemble but takes a long time. Would like for more space to move chair underneath it.

Package came in in good condition, it came heavy like others said, and definitely needs at least two strong people to transport. I'm a beginner with little experience in setting up furnitures, it took me 8hrs to fully set this up and its matching hutch on my own. PLEASE read and follow the manual, and save yourself from extreme frustration. It's there for a reason. I made a couple of reversible mistakes but once you understand the mechanics, the job gets pretty easy. Overall, I loved it. It took me awhile researching the best value desk to my liking. It has better quality than expected, also bigger than I thought. Im glad it fit the corner in my room where i intended to place it. I think it's spacious and utilitarian. Very happy with this purchase.
