      If you have a NEW kindle in March 2011 it's not the "second generation" kindle for which this battery is made. New Kindles are "third generation" Kindles. I don't know if the 3rd generation (current model) Kindles use the same battery as the second generation ones. Staples fails in its description of the cheaper battery (also a Lenmar) to tell us which Kindle it's for, but based on my search of Staples' "battery wizard" I think it's for the original (first generation) Kindle. It doesn't appear any battery here on the Staples site is made for the current model.
