The assembly instructions that came with this product are not the smartest in the world, to say the least. Assembly was not easy and most likely you will get the product assembly wrong and you have to put it apart and reassemble it again.

I purchased two of these items to place in one of my closets for storage. They are good but not great. At a sales price, they are a good buy. At regular price, I probably wouldn't purchase.

It is surprising to find assembly-required furniture that is made in the United States. Instructions were fairly clear and all pieces were included. The wooden pieces had no damage as is often the case with foreign made products. The item was fairly easy to assembly and required minimal tools. It is helpful to have a rubber mallet to insert some hardware. Otherwise, only a screwdriver is needed. Though not as sturdy as a factory assembled item, this piece is useful for smaller, light weight storage. Some of the trim pieces did not align perfectly, but that is barely noticeable. I was mildly annoyed that the item was further reduced in price a few weeks after I purchased it on what I thought was a good sale. What really annoyed me was the fact that the instructions stating that nothing should be stored on the top of the unit did not appear until the last page of information. If that information had been present on the box, I probably would have purchased a different item. I imagine this recommendation is given to avoid the risk of the item tipping over.

I saw this item in the store & thought it would be a great fit for my home office. Very sharp looking, perfect size. I ordered it online & there were damaged pieces in the box. I then exchanged it at a Staples store for the same item & once again there were pieces damaged in box. This leads me to believe that this item is poor construction / poor quality if the pieces are already damaged in the box before assembly.
