I'm not sure why the negative comments. I almost didn't buy this keyboard tray because of them but I decided to take a chance on it.

I was surprised because it very sturdy and does NOT slide back when I am typing. Maybe that person who had the problem got loose hardware or something and in that case just return it and get another one.

This keyboard tray is perfect and sitting here, I can't think of a think wrong with it.

Close, but no sigar

A keyboard tray with sliders without 'hold' feature in extended position is a waste of money, and clearly not worth [$] I spent for it. Does the company have a usability department? Just to clarify, working on a keyboard, which constantly slides away is EXTREMELY irritating. Adding $2-$5 to the price of this item and adding the 'hold' feature would definitely make sense to me. So, I am very dissapointed...

Keyboard tray was just what I was looking for to free up space on my desk top.

It was missing the required hardward (screws to attach it to the underside of desk top).
Fortunately I had screws on hand at home that were the correct size.

The instructioins were terrible, but (for me) it was fairly easy to figure out.

Rating 3 stars because of the missing hardware and poor instructions.

Wanted a desk with keyboard tray for child. Found desk as this keyboard tray listed as an accessory. Only after the desk was complete did we realize the tray did not fit. There is no tray that fits the desk. So we were left without really what we wanted. Still listed as accessory on the website!!!

  Customer reviews suggest that this keyboard tray is of easy to moderate installation difficulty. Images of the product reveal that it is intended to be bolted, using the mountings included in the product, to another desk. The manifest for this product does specify that hardware is provided.

How wide is the tray not including the rails or bracketing? I know the specs say it is 27 11/16 inches. What it does not specify is if this measurement is all inclusive or of the tray only.

  Ameriwood does not list the unit dimensions of individual pieces. Please call the manufacture directly at (800) 489-3351. I would hazard a guess and say 27 11/16 inches is the actual width since it does need to be assembled later. Drawer sliders are usually 27 mm to 35 mm thick if that helps.
