When you tear out a sheet it rips the sheet and other sheets before and after it and it is nearly impossible to cleanly remove a sheet

Despite not being spiral-bound, it lays flat with just a little "training". Though most of mu business notes are captured on a computer, I use a hard-bound journal style notebook to keep chronological notes when my laptop is not handy. This notebook rocks for that purpose, at a reasonable price!
