    Will this work with my current Ampli Vox speaker system that has a built in reciever?

      It depends on the frequency your current Amplivox speaker system is set for. If it's 171.105 or 171.84 it will work, otherwise it will not.

    Does the speaker have to hold this microphone all the time, or can it be placed in a holder on the podium, and will it still pick up as the speaker turns his/her head (addressing different parts of the audience) while speaking? Also, what is the range of the microphone?
