This is a large, thick chairmat. Too large for my den, however. Very thick, also. This was a problem for me since my desk has a drawer above the knee hole. For these reasons, I returned it to Staples.
This is an extremely well-made chairmat, however. For a large office, this chairmat would be just right. It has a beautiful finish, and you'd have to run it over with a fork truck to crack it. If you're looking for a top-of-the line (but large) chairmat, order one of these.

We ordered 3 styles of bamboo floor mats. This one is the best - thickness just right, I roll off one of the others. The ability to roll it up to move or store is very good, and the slats actually give enough traction that your chair isn't sliding everywhere. We haven't had these long enough to test durability, but I expect it to be very good.

This is a really pretty chair mat. However, it does not stay in place on carpet. It scratches fairly easily and the rollers on the office chair leave indentions on the mat.
