    I purchased this to replace a defective performance fan/heatsink on my AMD FX 8120 8-core 3.1 Ghz. processor, and I immediately saw a drop of 20 to 30 degrees in operating temp at the processor, even under heavy load. I also noticed a serious reduction in fan noise from the system. Set-up requires removing the mainboard, unless your case provides access to the bottom of the board under the processor, as mine does. I had it installed in less than 15 minutes.

      The instructions did not make clear that you had to have access to the BACK of your motherboard, and the directions and parts to install the radiator to the fan would not work. I had to be creative. In addition, the projections on the back-plate did not lineup perfectly with the holes on the Gigabyte motherboard. Not sure whose fault that was. The Kuhler, however, once installed, performs in an OUTSTANDING manner.

        Nice processor cooler for the money. It keeps my processor considerably cooler than the stock cooling fan and heat sink. Very easy to set up (still, best left to geeks, nerds, or other heavy computer enthusiasts). It's a whole lot quieter than the fan I had been using.

        The Kuhler H2O is a high-performance cooling system. I have an AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black edition, and it keeps my system running about 6-10 degrees warmer than room temperature. Once you get past the instructions which are about clear as mud, it is fantastic.
