I made the mistake of ordering extra "AAA" batteries, only to find they're the wrong size.

I replaced an earlier slim line pointer

The first one I bought worked well for several years before becoming inconsistent in producing a functional pointing light. I bought the same model just assuming something had happened to the earlier one, and I wanted to be able to reuse parts. On my first real use I already had problems getting it to come on; thank goodness it's under warranty.

This looks really nice and comes in a nice case. But it is very heavy and makes your hand tired. Also, the button is placed in a weird position, so your hand gets crimped holding onto the button for long.
