I had purchased this to cover an old rubber-topped desk. It is perfect for keeping my arms and hands clean and I have the added benefit of using the transparency aspect to keep my *must remember* notes! I also have a picture or two under it, protected from food or liquids.

When we bought my desk, we wanted to protect the top of the desk. I am very particular about how I write and what I bare down on. This is just the right hardness and protects my desk. Two for the price of one!!!

My Keyboard is about 21" wide, so I was looking for a desk pad that not only covered that but also provided enough room for my mouse... so I needed a width of at least 30". I went into the store and found this frosted one. I originally was going to get the clear which was about the same width because it would have shown my brand new dark brown desk very nice... but the clear version felt "paper thin" and was very smooth. This frosted version has a slight "textured" feel on top which I actually liked so I go this model.

As for it sticking to the desk, yes it does. You have to put the textured side on top.. and give it about a day for it to begin to stick to you desk. When you first lay it down, it will move and slide around.. but like I previously said, just give it about a day and it will most definitely stick without any problems.. and if you want to speed up the process, just lightly lick one of your fingers touch a couple of ends on the pad and it will instantly stick... and the rest of the pad will begin to stick in a few hours.

One a negative note... There is one thing I must point out about this pad. As the pad begins to stick, you can see spots showing thru (at least on my dark desk). The spots are the areas that are sticking to your desk. I guess it sort of gives the pad a "wet-like" look. Nothing really bad.. it's just no longer a smooth and even frosted look. Of course you could always just lift of the pad and even out the frosted look... I did that... but if you do... it will no longer stick to your desk...and will take a few hours again for the "attachment".

On a positive note, though... I also use my desk as a table to eat because I'm always on my computer... and this desk pad also makes an excellent "place mat" for my plate and drinks... and I don't have to worry about staining my new wooden desk..

First thing is the color. The frosting makes the surface look white (I'm using it on an oak desk). This replaced a smoke colored mat that I had for 12 years - I was looking to eliminate the glare from the old one.

Next, I use a laptop on this surface. The heat from the laptop (normal heat, nothing unusual) causes the mat to warp, so it no longer lays flat. Don't use this with a laptop!

Other than the appearance and inability to use a laptop on it, the product is as advertised.

I no longer have sticky notes stuck all over my office for little things I need to reference frequently!! It's great for clearing up the clutter! I love the rectangular size... It covers the part of my desk that I use really well!

I purchased it for my home office and although it was a little pricey, I like it better than the traditional black one.
