I refinished a desk (painted it with a faux finish) for my husband who takes a lot of notes. He needed a blotter so that he wouldn't mar the finish. This is one of the few available for desks with a painted finish. It works great!

I love being able to see pictures of my family and pets on my desk, i get a surprise everytime i remove a file and get to see someone smiling back at me. The nice heavy cover keeps photos safe while still being able to write on the top.

Primary reason for purchase was to protect the top of my new desk. Product lays flat, is convenient to hold at-a-glance information under the top plastic and it looks nice and is non-intrusive on the desktop.
