I've had this thing for years on my desk at home which I use every day. I have had pictures under the plastic sheet and notes and all sorts of things. They stay put in there and the pad itself stays put. It has made it through 3 moves and never even got a dent. I don't know what these other guys are talking about the plastic bending. Mine has literally been fine for over 6 years at least. I did just make the mistake of ironing on top of it with a plastic steam iron (the sisan) and I had no idea the steam would be strong enough to melt the plastic. I was just trying to take the crease out of a shirt and in turn destroyed a 25 dollar item I have owned for years. Don't listen to these other people though. This thing is top quality and lasts forever. Just don't try to steam anything on it. That was my own fault.

This is my second one of these. It looks great the first few days. The problem is the top curls up after a few weeks and won't stay flat. It sticks up almost two inches. If the material were thicker it might hold up longer. I won't buy another one of these.

This pad is extremely shoddy. I had it for a couple of months and the back completely separated. It rolls up and catches other things on my desk, like my keyboard. Steer clear of it.
