The keyboard came complimentary with the Asus Vivo Tab 10.1 and I am delighted that I took advantage of the offer. The keyboard is very easy to attach and detach, and allows for usage of a USB thumb drive. I have access to any and all documents that I need in my coursework and volunteer board activities. I highly recommend that you take advantage of the opporrtunity to acquire the keyboard.
This was a definite dealmaker, considering that it was a no-charge addition. The capability to add battery life, have an easy to use usb port and smooth docking capability make this a winning product. When one uses Office on the tablet, the use of a keyboard is very useful and much easier than trying to add words, numbers or thoughts on the tablet touchscreen. Similarly, not having to worry about supporting the tablet when viewing video is another plus. A well-made product from Asus! This was not a surprize.
Coming from the HTC Flyer Android tablet, I knew that I wanted to get a Windows based tablet since I use Microsoft Office a lot and nothing on Android really compares. I originally was looking at the Microsoft Surface tablet. I had good specs and a pretty decent looking keyboard to boot.
Then Asus announced the Asus Vivo Tab tablet. The thing that made me go with the Vivo Tab was the keyboard. It is very similar to the well-respected Asus Transformer series keyboards and function most like a regular keyboard. It does a great job holding the tablet in place like a laptop or netbook. Most important though is the internal battery in the keyboard. It provides a great supplement to the tablet itself and you get up to nearly 17 hours of battery life with it attached.
