As stated, this thing is awesome. quality, sturdy construction. Windows 8 based. Cool touch screen format. Fsat easy setup and quick and easy printing on the first attempt. has done everything we have asked of it without complaint. Would onlt add that windows RT is not a complete version of windows 8. If you want or need voice recognition software just wait a bit longer for these guys to put the full version of windows 8 on a tablet machine. If you could call taht an issue, that's the only one we have sofar.

The Asus Vivo Tab 10.1 is an excellent consumer and production tool. I wanted something that I could both use as a tablet for viewing and using all that it has available and could allow me to do all my online course work. It has exceeded my expectations - I love it!

I previously had an HTC Flyer Android based tablet, which worked very well for some web browsing and reading books through the Kindle or Nook apps. As a productivity tablet, it was pretty lacking, even with the Scribe pen.

I was definitely interested in the Microsoft Surface tablet when it was announced due to my familiarity with Windows and also the fact that it would come with Microsoft Office which I use to do PowerPoint slides for songs & sermon notes at my church. I liked the larger size and the available keyboard.

However, then Asus announced the Vivo Tab and it was everything I was looking for. Like the Surface it runs Windows RT (which works perfectly well for most activities), but the big difference is the keyboard. It uses a similar keyboard to the Asus Transformer series. It's more like a regular keyboard, it keeps the tablet in place, and most importantly it has its own internal battery which greatly increases the battery life to near 17 hours.

I have gotten a lot of great use out of this tablet (which I'm typing this review on right now). It's plenty fast, does most things a desktop can (not all though), and works as pretty much a laptop replacement for me. In fact, the only thing I use my laptop for now is using Microsoft Publisher for my church's website. The Asus Vivo Tab is really a great all-around tablet experience.

This is a great compact unit. However "compact" means some screen items are a bit small for a senior citizen. Had a tough time re-setting the clock, but that is the only hitch so far. This will travel well.

The Asus Vivo RT Tablet has a larger memory than other entry-level tablets. The back camera at 8 megapixels is one of the best available. The main problem I have with this device is the limited number of apps around that I can use in place of some that I use on my Android telephone. There is a definite advantage in the fact that Office 2013 is included on the system. I believe that the number of apps will increase to meet all my requirements eventually, but the way Microsoft has cored out the rt version of Windows 8 keeps me from being totally satisfied with the system. Had I known how large a hole there was, I probably would have gone with the 1080p Andriod Asus,instead.

I bought this product because I needed a laptop to bring to school that would not add too much weight to my bag. This tablet is perfect because it fits nicely in my bag and is incredibly light weight. I also bought it with a keyboard which adds extra protection and makes typing assignments so much easier. Another plus is that the battery life lasts for a long time, so I can easily bring it to school and not have to worry about charging it midday. I would definitely recommend this product to any student or anyone who travels often.
