    pen writes smooth and great! love only ballpoints and this is definitely the smoothest pen ive found. only cons are that the ink dies out pretty fast (then again i do alot of writing, so perhaps its not really a con). other con is that the clicker breaks easily. 2nd pen in less than 1 month for the clicker to break off, and it usually flies up in the air somewhere and the spring flies out with it so im unable to find the pieces to put it back together. this is probably the only downfall, as ive used many click pens that lasted me years....however overall, since the ink is awesome on this pen, i still continue to buy and use this pen only, even after they keep breaking on me!

    A friend of mine lent me the pen to write a quick
    note. I loved the way it wrote. The pen barrel was very
    comfortable. The ink was dark and smooth. I was so impressed, I
    went out and bought a couple of them for every day use. After
    about a week or two and not writing very much, the ink began to
    skip and get rough. I'd checked to see if the ink ran out but it had
    not. A little disappointed and hope that it was only a defective
    refill. Will try a new refill and reevaluate.

      Great refill cartridge for a very comfortable pen. I use this pen in my office and I won't let anyone touch my Avant pen. It is the BEST pen I have ever owned. So glad the refills are so available and easy to find at Staples. The Avant pen refill cartridge is very smooth and produces a very even ink distribution. The pen is easy to hold and comes in several different styles depending on your preference. It is definitely worth having a high-quality ink when you are writing in documents and charts all day long!

              The Avant pen is without doubt the finest pen I have ever used, especially considering its price. I actually never used a pen to the point where it needed to have a refill, but in this case it finally ran out of ink and I did not want to get rid of my pen, my new "friend." Then, I pondered and made the decision. It is worth the price to invest a few dollars so that I can rejuvenate my favorite writing device. And so I bit the bullet and bought the refill. I am glad I did. It was clearly a good decision. I installed it quickly and it restored my buddy to its former health.
