I noticed a display with these pens and decided to check them out. I tried a fine point gel, writing on the paper provided, and found it to be smooth and comparable to my favorite Pentel pen. I was intrigued by the idea of being able to interchange refills in any of the barrels, so I purchased a 2-pack at a reasonable sale price. Now the problem: I clipped a pen to a pocket in my purse and within a day the plastic clip broke off. I was disappointed to learn that the gel pen has the only barrel with a flimsy plastic clip - the others have metal. I like using the clip to keep my pen handy, and I don't want to purchase non-gel pens to get a more durable barrel. I would be pleased if the gel pen barrel could be as sturdy as the others.

I had the coupon for a free two-pack of these pens. I thought the regular price on these pens was high. I normally would not pay that much for two pens. Considering the price, I'm not impressed with the pen. I find the feel to be uncomfortable and cumbersome in my hand. The pen barrel feels unbalanced and too fat to hold comfortably with my fingers. The description says the pen has a textured grip but I find the barrel to feel slippery and hard to hold onto. The only thing I do like about this pen is that it writes smoothly and the ink does not smear. It is like a high quality ink cartridge was paired with a low quality barrel.
