Printable address labels for inkjets!

These labels made addressing my graduation announcements much easier than hand writing all 70 of the addresses. They worked suprisingly well with my inkjet printer and were very durable and permanent and outlasted the mailing process. My only complaint is the program that Avery has online for setting up the addresses. I have a Mac and I wish I could've figured out if there was a way I could export either a word or excel document with the addresses already on them to the sheet. It just took a while to copy and paste all the addresses.

The labels peel off easily and stick well. However, the top row of narrow labels with the Avery name and logo consistently peel off inside the printer, jamming it. I had to open the printer twice to remove labels from the rollers and used half the package to print two sheets of labels. I was able to work around the problem by manually removing the top row before I printed the sheet.

The last time I used Avery Easy Peel labels was over a year ago, and the problems were much worse. I finally called Avery for help, and they told me there were absolutely no problems with the product.

I love this product but not the heavy price tag. The copies are crisp, clean, professional looking, and help my products to stand out without blocking images. I am frustrated with the cost if this product and the small amount of labels available in a package. I have recommended them to others but warned them of the sticker shock at the register. The rebate program is just sad. Why not go ahead and build the rebate option into a lower price from the beginning. Your product would have more appeal. I know I would buy more, of more affordable.

Can I write on these labels in ink? I am sending wedding invitations and need to add the option for a meal choice... Can people write in these with a pen to respond? Thanks!

  These are designed for use with an ink-jet printer, but most pen types should be able to write on this. I would recommend a permanent ink marker.

How many lines will I be able to fit on the address field? The labels look a little small and I will need to print up to 5 lines per label.

  The number of lines per label depend on the size of the type you are printing with. Five (5) lines of 12-point type, single spaced type will NOT fit on the one inch height of this label. You need a label at least 1.5" in height or chose to use smaller type. The UPSP does allow the use of type a small as 8 points.

Q:
The product description says it virtually disappears when applied to white or "colored" paper. Does the "colored" paper include black? I'm looking for lables (or a clear product) that will show against a black background. I have a birthday invitation that has a black background with gold (yellow) fonts. I want to add an additional line to the invite without it being too noticeable. I purchased a transparent product but it does not work unless the background is white. So, again my question is will this work against a black background? Thanks!

  These are clear, translucent address labels. They are described to work on colored backgrounds and this includes black.
