Perfect for custom wine bottle label

With this being pretty much the only product on the market of its type, there is not much incentive to sell it at a cheaper price point. It works well for what it is supposed to do -- that is as much as I can say fo it. If there was a store brand alternative I would buy it instead.

Q:
This product is two labels from a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" sheet. Does this mean that each label is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" with adhesive on the back of both labels. What are the perforations for, to separate a smaller label from the sheet half?
Another reviewer said one half is label and the other half is paper - what does that mean? I want to use them to make book plates to paste into books.
Asked on 12/5/2010 by Norm (an author) from San Diego, CA
There are 2 labels on one sheet. The perforation is if you print out a receipt using some current shipping software. I use Stamps.com and just use 1 half at a time and then print on the other half another label when needed. There is not a paper half and label half like what you can buy thru USPS or UPS for printing off the receipt of your shipping. As for what you plan to use them for, not sure if the adhesive would be optimal inside a book as I know sometimes these don't like to stick to some kraft paper envelopes due to certain coatings. Works awesome on Tyvek envelopes.

There are two different types of these labels; the two labels per page or one label per page. You can perforate them if you are printing just one label or an odd amount of labels and still use the other label if you are using a self feed printer and not a paper tray printer. The single label per page ones are so you can select the option to print a reciept with the label, which is an option for postage printed online using USPS, eBay, and Pay Pal, and maybe other sites as well. I personally buy the two labels pages and seperate them and print them with a piece of cheap office paper so I get a label and reciept at the same time, but it's cheaper in the long run this way. Now a days, I like to save every penny I can in this economy. Hope this helps! :)

Q:
Why does it say internet labels? What does the internet refer to?
Because it is compatible with all the popular shipping label services or you can use Avery's website to create your own shipping labels. This product is also compatible with Microsoft Word.

These labels are the perfect size to use if you create shipping labels using the Post Office's "Click 'n Ship" application or through PayPal's "Create a Shipping Label", both of which are Internet applications. However, they also work with "Shipping Assistant" and other utilities that reside on your own computer.
