These labels are the easiest, best looking labels for making "book labels" for our organization. I do the layout in Microsoft Word, and print out labels on an as-needed basis, whenever a book is dedicated in honor or memory of someone.

Difficult to use as shown

Although the product is shown with a landscape orientation, it is difficult to use in that way and Avery has very little support. If you want to use them landscape, search "5168 ...Read complete review

Although the product is shown with a landscape orientation, it is difficult to use in that way and Avery has very little support. If you want to use them landscape, search "5168 wide" on the avery site to find the template. You cannot use the online design template or any of the fancier templates (i.e. borders or images) with this product if you want landscape orientation.
Also, my Word software had trouble dealing with this template for some reason and I didn't end up getting much use out of these labels. Disappointing.

I love these lables and we use them in our office a lot. They used to come in packs of 40 now they just come in packs of 20, and the price has increased. I am disappointed in that.

  As per the manufacture Avery, yes you will be able to print images and photos on this permeate adhesive label, however this label is not a weather proof label, once wet the ink might smear. May I suggest the Staples item number 323098, Avery Easy Peel Print-to-the-Edge Textured White Arched Labels, 3" x 2-1/4”. This permanent adhesive label is ideal for glass, plastic, paper and more.

  Avery labels are not recommended for printing your own labels with Ebay and PayPal. When printing labels from these resources, it would be necessary to purchase one of the following label printers:
  
  -Zebra LP 2844-Z, TLP 3842, HT-146, TLP 2844, TLP 3844
  -Brother QL-500, QL-550
  -DYMO LabelWriter 330 & 330 Turbo
  -Pitney Bowes LPS-1
